Kid Nicknames

So recently (or maybe not so recently) my sister told me that my names for the kids on here were pretty boring and blah.... Girl, Boy 1 and Boy 2.....

And I figured they were better than the nicknames that they have in real life.

So what are their nicknames in real life you ask?? (Come on play along!)

Girl - Knucklebutt. Which has unfortunately for her been shortened over the years to Butt.

I know it's horrible but that's just what it's been and she answers to it!

Boy 1 - Fatboy. We no longer use this name for him though. When he got old enough to start calling other people fat we decided we had to stop.

We have changed it slightly though. We now call him [his actual name]boy.

Boy 2 - Dudey (pronounced Doody). I'm not sure how I started that one and I'm really the only one that does it. And no it's not like doody - poop. It's like little dude - I just put a "y" on the end.

So there you have it. I'm sure by now you're all probably pretty happy that I use Girl, Boy 1 and Boy 2 instead!

Mine is Lulu Belle and Little Buddy...I actually do call her Lulu Belle in real life too. My husband started calling our son Super Little Buddy when he was born...so I just shortened it for blog use.

How about Bianca for Girl, Geronimo for Boy 2, and Jujube (pron jew-jew-bee) for Boy 2. Just trying to lend some creativity!

This from a woman called G. (-:

The "baby" in our house's nickname is actually, "Blubber". Also sometimes, "fat baby", "fatty pie", etc.

I know people are horrified when they hear it, but that's what it is for know.

My husband's uncle was always called "fat head" and he's the skinniest of the brothers. I married into a weird family.

Huh. That's weird. I commented not long after you posted yesterday and it's not showing up. . .

I can't remember everything I said, but going with your nicknames (with a couple of adjustments), how about: KB (so you don't have to type it out every time), [first initial]boy, and Dude. It cracks me up to think a 1 yr old might get to be called Dude. ;-)

That is too funny. The Dudey one is so funny.

I love you nick names for your kids! My son's name is Abraham and it was a pretty hard name for my then 3 yr old niece to say so it ended up being "Babraham" or they/we all call him Bubba as well. If you asked him his name, he would reply Bubba. Not really a name I want him to hang on to when he gets to be school age tho! Sounds like a Southern hillbilly!! (no offense to anyone from the south - all my inlaws are from South Georgia!)

Haha...we call our oldest son Tooter because when he was a baby he was always...tooting :) And we call our youngest Brody-butt...not really sure how this one got started but it's stuck. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who calls their kid butt :)

What do you have to say?

OBSCENITY ALERT:

This Blog is my outlet. It's where I share my thoughts and feelings. It's a place where I can vent. Not everyone thinks alike. People don't always share the same religious or political views. Some people (like me!) occasionally think in more “colorful” terms than others. Sorry, but I'm a big girl and can use cuss words and talk about not-so-mainstream stuff if I want to. If you find that sort of language offensive / shocking / annoying, you may want to stop reading now. Life as a military wife ain't always pretty. It's my life, though, so don't say I didn't warn you.
